There is an infinite power in a small group of passionate people.
I just finished a conference call with eight fellow members of the David Suzuki foundation's Ocean Keepers.
I know that the challenges our environment and ecosystems face can seem overwhelming and many of us feel helpless and hopeless.
I don't believe in using scare tactics. I don't believe in focusing on the gloom and doom of current circumstances.
I do believe in focusing on the opportunities before us. I do believe in focusing on the beauty that creation has given us as gifts that are more valuable than anything that can be purchased.
But most of all I know that I have a tremendous passion for all living things and that equates to a power stronger than anything else.
And when we can align ourselves with other like-minded people who are willing to give just a few minutes of their time and their passion to something that will better the rest of the world - well there is nothing more powerful and empowering than that.
Each and every one of us has the power to make significant change. In fact, we are the only things that can make a change: you and me.
Fellow Ocean Keepers thank you.
