I have read this book many times and every time I did I could not put it down. I even missed Christmas the first time I read this book because I was too busy trying to survive a blizzard on Everest with Jon Krakauer. This book recounts a horrible tragedy but it also recounts the survival of a few. I learned a lot about my own personal limits and realizing when not to push them - especially when someone else's safety is on the line.
Phenomenal writing that put me right there on the mountain: I felt the ice, I gasped for air and I held on tight so as not to slip away...
